tango Every year during National Library Week, the American Library Association publishes a list of the most “challenged” or complained about books in America. By “challenged”, they mean books that people would like to censor or ban. The ALA condemns censorship, and “works to ensure free access to information”. The top ten list can be viewed by clicking the link below: http://www.ala.org/bbooks/frequentlychallengedbooks/top10 As a side note, I curated an exhibit about censorship at The Wright Museum of Art, in 2010, titled Censorship of Art: Are you offended? I’ll post about that at a later date.
